Ah, sorry, I misunderstood.  Yes, I quite agree that the (vast) majority of
quarter-peal ringers would accept something less than a 1440 of Minor -- or
any QP length at all of Triples.

I thought you were referring to 1260 vs. 1250 for Doubles, Minor and
Triples, and I would have thought that there is not a clear majority in
favour of the shorter length in those cases.
