In order to improve the appearance and functionality of the Ringing wiki -
RingWiki <http://www.bellringers.org/ringwiki/> , I have set up a
replacement wiki - The Changeringing Wiki.

The new wiki uses MediaWiki software, as used by Wikipedia. It is much
easier to format the text attractively and use diagrams and photographs on
the new site, and there is a wealth of formatting help and examples
available on the Wikipedia and Mediawiki websites. The intention is to
develop it into a comprehensive ringing resource containing an online
repository of articles, a definition of technical terms, ringing hints and
tips, and answers to frequently asked questions raised on the changeringing
email lists.

John Camp, who hosts the current wiki, is fully supportive of this move. It
is intended to transfer all the content from RingWiki to the new site,
before closing it down, and any help in doing this would be appreciated.
Anyone can log in and become an editor. Contributions of new material will
also be extremely welcome.

The new wiki has not yet been found by the search engine spiders, so please
bookmark the page and visit it soon to see the difference on the pages I
have added so far.
