I think your similey was supposed to encompass this, but just in case
you were being serious:

I think we need something with a less value judgement tone to it.

Unless you think real ale is no better than Budweiser, I suppose (imaginary
beer?).

We could call the stuff without the esoteric bits "Reactionary Change
Ringing" or "Old Fashioned Change Ringing" :-)
