Although clearly you've got more experience with this kind of thing, I'd
have thought that would make things harder. If you learn each method
individually then you gain from knowing more of the structure of the method
and how the place bells relate to each other, whereas learning a long blue
line doesn't leave much room for error. Simple things like knowing which
place bells are opposites can be incredibly useful. Of course this is
_effectively_ the same as learning the whole peal anyway, but you gain a
whole pile of useful metadata as well.
