Maybe so, but I don't have a copy of it and it's the sort of thing I 
would have made a copy of it it had been in the RW.

Hmm. I've had a rummage through my box of odds and sods from the RW and I
can't find it either; perhaps I'm imagining the article? I did find the REH
article (1977 P.923 et seq) which is entitled 'FCH from Place-notation:
Further investigations'. This is remarkably similar to the title that I
remembered so perhaps I had just mistaken the author's name. Answers on a
postcard...
