No it bloody well wasn't, we couldn't give a bugger whether it was
counted as a peal or not.  It was the methods committee yet again
tweaking the existing rules to accommodate what we did.  Incidentally,
we still regularly ring variable Grandsire (what we call it) on a Sunday
morning at St. Chad's cathedral.
