With all respect to the Methods Committee, you guys really need to move on and stop talking about variable cover.

 - It might be a powerful anecdote, but it isn't very good evidence. The decisions have been patched to support many innovations. One hasn't set the world on fire. So what?
 - Regardless of how much it has been rung, or even whether it's worth ringing, it fairly clearly is ringing.
