it strikes me that the timing of the MC announcement is either poorly thought through or deliberately planned in order to minimise comments. I find this quite 
appalling. It is the sort of trick one expects in the House of Commons.

Whilst this list is not a formal part of the council I think a lot of ringers would take some comfort from the fact that a serious number of ringers with an 
interest in methods and composition are on this list and have been debating the rules.

May I suggest that those who have been most vocal on this list write a letter to the RW explaining what good work has been done on this list, that members of the 
MC are on this list and therefore have been aware of the discussions taking place and finally include in such letter a summary of the results of the surveys that 
have taken place.

The wider ringing public and in particular the Admin Committee needs to know what is going on. Having said that I would rather have new rules drafted for 2016 
rather than further bodge the existing mess in a rush.
