[r-t] Old doubles collection

Many thanks to Richard Johnston and Peter Hinton for the trouble they've
taken to send along various items. It's all helpful and interesting. It's
amusing to see the tweaks to the decisions that must have been going on
even fifty years ago. I note that variable hunt was proscribed at the time.
It appears they proscribed Caunton and its brethren just a few months after
they were first rung, though with no record of why they thought methods
with more than four blows in one place should be prohibited.

>From all this it appears I was mistaken: while the Council published in the
RW the definition of Caunton, it appears it probably wasn't ever included
in an early collection.
