To generate touches for this "{X,Y,Z}" scheme, it seems more in the
spirit of things to vary the reference bell rather than to resort to
standard calls.

In this way, for example, for {X,Y,Z}={Glasgow,Belfast,London}
https://complib.org/method/32305?accessKey=f425e63c3ec7235f059d18863589bf6fa3ca38df

which has 640 changes in its plain course, a 1250 can be achieved with
the reference bells lead-by-lead:

   2 2
   3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3
   2 2 2 2 2 2
   3 3
   2 2 2 2
   3 3 3 3
   2 2
   3 3
   2 2 2 2
   3 3
   2 2
   3 3

This can be seen at:

where I've represented it as a method rather than a composition as I
think that's probably the only way I can do it.
