What a lovely email Louise, the best I’ve seen yet in this crisis.

One of my band members suggested having a conference call during the time that we would normally be ringing, to stay in touch. I appreciate that not everyone has internet access but I think it’s possible to dial those people in, even if only a few are brave enough for video conferencing, you can get up to 50 people on some free options. A good excuse to catch up on all that theory we’re always craving. Perhaps an idea for some specific training sessions too.

What do you all think? Worth a try?

Catherine

It has been heartening to hear of local communities taking on the task of looking after each other. When I look at the Stretham REC mailing list I can see that we have created a community of bell ringers that goes across home towers and districts. There are ringers from Ely, Cambridge, Huntingdon and Wisbech Districts who put up with my notices every week. I am grateful and it gave me an idea which may not be as bad as my jokes.

This is your chance to ask about strange bell ringers terminology, 'Who is this Bob?'. If you do not want to ask, send me the question direct and I will find a teacher who can answer it much better than me.
