But isn't there all this thing about perceived pitch of a bell. Not a
problem when the bell is tuned in octaves but when the hum, prime and
nominal are not in octaves doesn't one tend to alter your perception of the
other? So if Escrick tenor sounds nearer to a C than a B isn't that the
point rather than quoting the frequencies?
