Is there a kind soul out there who has an old Dove who could look up the weight of the tenor at Bootle when it was steel? This bell's weight at Hale is given as 8cwt, I just wondered if a heavier weight was given before it was tuned. (I'm answering Nick Simon's letter in the RW!). Thanks, Bill H
