I was intrigued to read in this morning's Ringing World the letter 
from Paula Griffiths, Secretary of the above. This letter implies 
that everyone was informed of the plan to set out the criteria for 
listing bells and that the CCC genuinely wishes to consult with every 
interested party. 

Please, can someone who has knowledge of the situation enlighten us 
as to who was told what and when. If everything Ms Griffiths says 
is correct and we jump in with both feet, guns firing, we could loose 
all credibility with the CCC and ultimately only shoot ourselves in 
the foot.
