Changes on two bells

I have been trying not to reply to this for two days, my patience 
finally broke:

> How many changes are available on 2 bells?

The answer, of course, is as many as you want. How long do you want 
to ring for?

Now, if the question had been 'how many different changes' I would 
have given a different answer . . .
