Rochford, Lightcliffe or Newhey any day!

Some of the finest rings, eg.
Evesham, Lichfield, etc. ..........Surely it isn't all down to tower
acoustics?
I think it helps having half decent sounding bells but you could put any old
junk in some towers and they would still sound good. The acoustics do seem
to be the major factor. Of all the 20th century peals, what percentage come
into the "finest" category, when the actual bells themselves are largely
(although not all as pointed out above) of an equivalent standard?
