I see from todays Comic (p.320) that Ms Sobel thinks James Harrison was
'briefly' a bell hanger. If 1729 to 1766 is a brief time I wonder what a
long time is to her. Still in terms of the life of the Universe I suppose
she's right.
She clearly hasn't read Lincs Bell & Bellfounders p. 276ff.
