I am interested in the objections and justifications. 
I think there is general interest in this, not least as some of the
objections may be common to other proposals.
Historically the reasons for changes to rings, or schemes that do not
proceed are always of interest.
What would belittle the group is comment about the people making the
objections and there qualification.
I am disappointed that the thread has not aired any objections or
justifications, let alone the reasoning behind them.
