I am inclined to think the old ring, in a suitable tower with well
sorted acoustics, and possibly a tuning tweak would be a real pleasure
to ring and hear, a huge improvement on some of the bigger rings around
the country.
In reality where could they go? Most of the larger really duff rings are
not in towers up to a 42cwt 12.
Should approval for schemes like Cornhill be subject to caveats
regarding the future of the displaced bells?
