Bill's phrase was "it's like hitting a cow up the arse with a wet shovel"

The Newark one sounds marginally better, but, in the words of the late,
great Bill Theobald, they both "sound like a cow's arse being hit with a wet
bullock!"

The largest swinging bell in the world is now claimed to be at Gotenba in
Japan. At around 36 tons, I believe it was cast in 2006 by Eijsbouts, but,
interestingly, their web site makes no mention of it. As far as I am aware
the Riverside bourdon is still the largest tuned bell in the world .unless
someone else knows different.

I think that these may answer Jims question.

The recent Eijsbouts bell in Japan - looks untuned to me:

Peace Bell at Newport Kentucky (Cast by Paccard):

Both sound disappointing to my ears! Using Bill Hibberts Tuner - both seem
to have fairly wild harmonics!
