St Peter Port, Guernsey, Churchwardens accounts mention ringing on or about this date most years from 1819 (when the payment was 15s 9d) to 1834. Payment was £1/11/6 from 1820 to 1829, it increased to £2/4/6 in 1830. When a reaon for the payment was given it was "Naissance" (the accounts are in French).
