I think there are many more than is on the list that George provided. I can think of Middleton, N. Yorks where there is a plaque which states:

 TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF/ (NAMES)/ MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN/ THE GREAT WAR/ THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED/ AND THE TOWER REPAIRED AS THE/ PARISHIONERS THANKOFFERING/ FOR VICTORY AND THE/ RESTORATION OF PEACE/ W NORMAN BLAKE VICAR

This work included the provision of the new four bell frame, new fittings and recasting the tenor. Might not be a complete recasting but was a post war rehang in memory of the fallen.
