Internet researches indicate a possible connection with the Stapletons of Greys Court, Rotherfield Greys [Oxfordshire], and also with the West Indies. Frances (nee Russell) married Sir William Stapleton (1674-1699), 3rd baronet of the Leeward Isles. She survived her husband by many years and died in 1746. This all fits with the 1730 date of the bell which has clear clock-hammer indentation marks on the soundbow)

Don't recognise the founder though
