David, you have ignored Alan Strickland's membership of this committee. He is a experienced ringer and Grants Secretary of the Sharpe Trust. I'm not sure research is what is required for this committee, more practical experience of all aspect of bells and ringing. 

Three experience bell men out of a committee of nine is possibly not a good proportion.
