The bells went to Loughborough in 1896. The job book records the hum, fundamental and nominal for each bell, but with a pencil note “not altered in any way”. The bells arrived at the works on 28 November 1895 and the job – new girder frame and rehanging with new fittings (including cast iron headstocks) – was completed on 4 February 1896. In other words, this was before the main tuning developments later in 1896.

 

The weights “as received” were 5-1-24, 5-3-25, 5-3-23, 6-1-9, 6-3-16, 8-0-0, 10-1-7, 14-0-11. As sent off, they were (as now)
