There is, of course, the fact that Plain Bob Triples and Plain Bob Major are
not the same method.

Eddie's point is, of course, well made that things that are 'wrong' often 
end up as being the acceped view. As an example of this, the Pharaoh Shishak 
who sacked the Temple of Jerusalem was identified as being Shoshenk and the 
whole chronology of Ancient Egypt/Israel was constructed on this. However, 
Newton seems to have been the first to identify Shishak with Ramesses II and 
this is more likely to be correct.
