Inspired in part by MBD's very nice stedman pricker, here is an attempt 
to do something similar for arbitrary methods:

Requires javascript.  To see how it works, try clicking between the rows. 
The rest should be self-explanatory.

Various enhancements will be added when I have time.  Please let me know 
of any comments, suggestions, bugs or browser compatibility issues (it 
seems to work in Firefox and IE).
