Me: "I'm looking for suggestions for putting together a composition of spliced royal. Ideally I need something very soon...I'd like to splice Yorkshire Royal with "winked up" Stedman doubles..."

Well, I wasn't inundated with solutions. Good Mr Perrins put together an interesting 6-part thus:

===
(7ths, 6ths, 6ths (Rung Yorkshire, to produce 2783456)
pppps (Rung Winky, producing 2873456)
6 part. A 5760, yet trivially reducible to 5040 by calling single(s) at the end of the Yorkshire to bring up the part end immediately.
===

Good work, but I wanted something a little more conventional for the Yorkshire. After a bit of playing around, this is something I've put together that meets most of my requirements:

5040 Spliced Royal
M	W	H	234567890
s	-	-	45632		Yorkshire
s		s	26534
-----------------------------
1   2   3   4   5
s       *      ss	25643		Winked Stedman
-----------------------------
s	-	-	54362		Yorkshire
s		s	23465
-----------------------------
1   2   3   4   5
s               s	24356		Winked Stedman
    s           s	234568790
2-part, adding pair of singles at * in 1st part
2880 Yorkshire, 2160 Winked Stedman

Sadly the peal attempt planned for yesterday was not attempted, but this is certainly something worth doing. There are many different ways to come up with winked extensions, all of which are worthwhile. Get experimenting, people.
