The same sort of 13440 of Bob Major is in the Clavis Campanalogia (1788 ?)
with the comment that it was not possible to come round at 6720 because
the first Home is brought up with a bob and the second with an omit.
Evidently the author (J.Reeves ?) was aware of Q sets as they applied to
Bob Major.
An easy way to construct such a 13440 is to take a 4-course touch like H,
Hs, H, Hs and add the other courses 2 at a time, using bobbed Q-sets.
It would be possible to make a 6720 using two different sorts of bobs
(such as 4ths place and 6ths place). A 10 course block of Plain Bob Major
can be made by calling alternately 4ths place and 6ths place bobs at Home.
The other 50 courses can be joined on 2 at a time as usual.
The same sort of device works for peals of Grandsire Triples and was used
by John Garthon and William Shipway.

can undermine normal q-set rules). Should have seen that.
Me too. Thanks for the explanations.
