Hold on a minute though, in all seriousness, aren't rows such as 
81234... etc exactly the ones that we ring cyclic compositions to 
achieve? The 81234567 and 23456781 courses are surely the most 
spectacular, and not simply because there's a run at one end.

In some ways it seems bizarre and counter-productive to produce such a 
stunning cyclic composition, and then count the music in it in such a 
way as to ignore the cyclic bits!
