Joe's earlier question was on terminology. I have always felt that "extent"
is the wrong word to use for the maximum length possible in a method,
because it would then be dependent upon how on the falseness of the method,
whether you vary the treble and what types of call you use. The definition
of extent I prefer is the complete set of distinct Rows possible at a
particular Stage.
