[r-t] Spliced Plain Major

For the record here is a series of 14-45 atw plain major methods I came up with some time ago. Cutting nd pasting may have messed up the formatting so the original can be seen on Roddy Horton's page http://www.rrhorton.net/search.php). Looking at it now it is a pretty clunky composition and I'd like to think I could come up with something more elegant now. However, we did ring it in 2004 with a pretty experienced band who I think would agree that it was challenging. As you say plain major happens much quicker and you don't have the luxury of 4 blows dodging with the treble when you can try to remember what comes next. I think there is a lot of merit in looking at plain major much more, it allows for more dynamic changes of music and is certainly better than yet another composition of standard 8 spliced. Philip Saddleton extended his excellent SCAMP software to PSCAMP to look at compositions of plain spliced (although I can't find this on the ringing info website at present). It wasn't available when I came up with the composition either.
