Wasn't it Oxburgh, Norfolk 1948?

Bildeston, Suffolk collapsed more recently but I believe the bells had not =
been rung for many years. I recall seeing them on the floor after the colla=
pse in, I think, the 1970s. I purchased two photographs showing the devasta=
tion shortly after the collapse. At the time the tower was scaffolded for r=
epair. Fortunately, the workmen were at lunch at the crucial moment.

The tower has been rebuilt and a ringing six installed.

Neil Skelton.
