Tim Jackson has advised me that JT did some work here in 1971 - I've
looked up the details:
1. 29.75", 4-2-23, H Penn 1718
2. 32.75", 7-2-11, Newcombe 16th Century,
3. 35.5", 7-0-21, Taylor of St Neots, 1821
4. 39.25", 9-3-15, Newcombe 16th Century
1 & 3 were scrapped and 2 & 4 fitted with trigger type clappers and hung
stationary. The bells were scrapped because the church had very little
money but needed to stop the bells falling out of the tower. We paid
£390 for the two bells and used them in various casts later in 1971.
